Welcome Dreamers…
Is humanity getting worse? What seems like a simple question with an easy answer given the state of society these days, is actually not so simple. While it certainly feels like we are in a regression of humanity it’s important that we look at the many moving parts that make of the big picture of our modern lives to see where the truth really lies.
When you read history books – at least the truthful ones – you catch glimpses of just how inhumane humanity can be. We used to think we’ve come a long way, that we were above perpetuating human suffering and abuse when in actuality it was just swept under the rug as it always was.
Looking back at how far technology has advanced within the last 100 years compared to how fast it’s transformed in just the last 100 days, one can see the metaphorical mirror technology is bringing closer and closer for humanity to face themselves in, and what we’re seeing is not pretty.
I think the advancement of technology combined with the consistent denial of what has been rotting at the core of humanity is bringing forth a reckoning. This is where all of what’s been forced beneath the surface is finally coming up to be exposed. How we treat each other, how we treat ourselves, and how we view ourselves in the Divine is all coming up for exposure and review.
I don’t think humanity is getting worse. I do think humanity has an opportunity to be better. If we used the tools of unlimited access to information and connectedness of technology in the way that builds bridges instead of burning them, just imagine what we could build together.
Where we are now is that so many people refuse to even look in that mirror, or when they do they see distortions of themselves and the world. That is where the work lies for intuitive workers. We must bring the mirror closer, show the truth no matter how ugly or beautiful, and witness it. Only then can we release it, and let go of what no longer serves us.
The anger or embarrassment of being raised in a close-minded environment, the shame of actions made when one wasn’t healed, the stories others try to tell us about ourselves…so many things keep people trapped in their cages of low self-worth and denial because it feels safer than facing the hurt directly. It feels safer than looking in that mirror. Only when we can let go of what no longer serves as individuals will we be free enough to fly higher as a collective.
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Do you like the world that is being reflected back to you? If not, you’re in luck – there is no time like the present to start embracing your truth. When one is healed all are healed, and we need you at your best not just for the collective, but because you deserve your best, too.
