Stories from the Stono

Chronicles of a Dreamworker Newsletter, v.61 – Insights for Intuitive Living

Welcome Dreamers!

I’m honored to share our latest woodworking collaboration featuring live oak from the Stono River. Stono Preserve is a historic site on the Stono River dedicated to preservation and enriching the education of College of Charleston students. The land has seen almost every layer of Lowcountry history, from its indigenous ancestors to today. The river has carried their stories. I wanted to honor the lessons we keep learning from those who have taken care of the land before us, and celebrate what it gives to all of us who experience its beauty.

Two years ago a live oak that was adjacent to the property’s iconic allee of oaks was dying and needed to come down. We let it cure for a year and a half before creating these special trays for longtime supporters who have contributed to student scholarships at The College.

The triangular shape honors the past, present and future. The subtle chiseled surface represents the sunlight reflecting off of the Stono River, and the changing sands underneath its current. As time changes so does our understanding of the past and it helps us create the tomorrow we all dream of.

We recently attended a luncheon at Stono Preserve where the trays were presented to some of their recipients. It was wonderful to be back and say hello to my favorite trees, and show them how were honored them in our work. I must say as many times as I’ve been out there before there had always been a heaviness in the air, and a personal feeling of work to be done. This time felt lighter, like being welcomed home.

Thank you always to my husband Joseph for believing in me and my work, and for your help in bringing something extraordinary to this world. I’m very grateful to have a small part in sharing the story of this beautiful place. I hope it’s stories continue to inspire and educate for centuries more.

Google Reviews…

Time to grow! I could not do what I do without you and this wonderful community. Every opportunity I get to connect with each of you brings just as much joy and purpose to my life as I feel I get to share.

Personal reviews are one of the best ways to help share what I do with others. If you have ever taken a class, attended a circle, or received a reading and absolutely loved it, I would so appreciate your sharing a review on my Google business page.

If you’d like to just type up a quick review and send it via email and bypass Google altogether, that would be helpful as well! I can still share those on my website and other materials. I can keep your review anonymous or use your initials if you’d prefer.

Regardless, thank you, thank you, thank you for your continued support of my personal and business journey. I mean it when I say I couldn’t do it without you, because it’s people like you who I am here to do this incredible and rewarding work with. Thank you so much for your time and feedback!
