Happy Solstice Intuitive Friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous week marking the official beginning of the summer season here in the northern hemisphere. This is such an active time full of generative energy that is perfect for setting new intentions, releasing old habits and stepping into a new light for the season.
If there is something you’ve been thinking about starting in your life, whether it’s a new health routine or a spiritual path, now is an excellent time to begin that journey. Consider the solstice another marking of a new year with it’s own special momentum that only the summer season can bring.
Our family celebrated the solstice with a day in the sun honoring our favorite Dad for Father’s Day, my husband Joseph. As I celebrate the solstice in my 7th house of committed partnerships I am grateful for all of the support, love and connection that has come into my life!

This Week’s Happenings…
It was another fantastic week of trying new classes at bliss Spiritual Co-op! From astrology, dream circles, poetry and jewelry making it has been a super fun summer so far.
If you’re in the Charleston area and are into astrology I highly recommend stopping Tuesday’s Astrology 101 group with Di Johnson. It’s a good time with great people learning about the basics of astrology together. I recommend bringing your chart, or if you don’t have your chart bring your birth date and time if you can. The next class will be July 7.
That same evening I also got to attend a Dream Circle with one of my favorite dream practitioners Helen Walker. She does most of her sessions at the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library, so it was a real treat to find her at bliss too. I can’t recommend her enough for her thoughtful and compassionate dream circles. They’re perfect for everyone at any stage of their practice, from newbie to well-seasoned!
Later in the week I got to enjoy the Self-Exploration Through Poetry sessions with Tish Voight class again. It can be difficult to find a small group to write with so I really want to encourage all of the Charleston poets and writers to take a look at the group. For an hour we get together to intentionally write about a provided prompt. It’s been wonderful for both my personal journaling and creative writing. I hope to see you at the next one on July 16!
Lastly I got to hit up the super fun Jewelry Repair Clinic with Suzanne Bergen. It was a perfect way to unwind after a busy week. I made a few pieces as donations to bliss, as well as this beautiful Virgin Mary necklace! I had been wanting a Mother Mary pendant for a while now, and as I sorted through several trays of donated pieces I thought to myself, “If I find a Mary pendant in here, I’m going to make something with it!”
Low and behold, there was a beautiful pendant with the Virgin Mother waiting for me at the very bottom of the last tray. I made a quick chain and now I get to carry her with me everywhere I go both in and near my heart now.
The next Jewelry Repair Clinic will be at 12:15 pm on Saturday, July 11. You’ll definitely want to bookmark that day as there is more exciting news to come that you won’t want to miss!
Developing Your Intuition and Narcissistic Abuse…
Many, many intuitively-minded people have had some sort of experience with narcissistic abuse, myself included. One big lie that narcissists try to tell their victims is that no one cares, and that they are all alone. I’m grateful to say I’ve found that to be so far from the truth. In fact, there are many of us that are seeking connection, support, and recovery from narcissistic abuse.
While it’s sad to realize the insidousness of narcissism is as pervasive as it is, when you look at our capitalist, indivulaist culture here in the west I am not surprised to see what feels like a surge in these behaviors.
Rather focus on the drama of it all, I feel it’s time to start focusing on how we can reconnect withourselves and heal from such experiences. I wrote Developing Your Intuition and Narcissistic Abuse for the June Tap Collective publication in hopes to help start such conversations.
As said in the article and above, if you’ve dealt with narcissistic abuse, know that you are not alone and you never will be, especially once you learn to never abandon yourself for anyone else ever again.
