Trust Your Creativity

Chronicles of a Dreamworker Newsletter, v.37 – Insights for Intuitive Living

Hello Intuitive Friends!

We’ve made it to the last bit of April! However May also promises an interesting start as we greet a Full Moon in Scorpio this Friday, May 1. Venus is making lots of pretty moves this week too which is making my Taurus Sun very happy!

Overall it feels like release valve has finally been pressed, and although it may some time to fully ease the pressure any relief is most welcome. Taurus season encourages us to slow. the. eff. down. There is more to life than the hustle but us bulls aren’t afraid to get down and do the hard work it takes to stay consistent and self-minded. Yes, we can be stubborn, but we get the job done and we don’t compromise on quality. We know how to weave play and life’s pleasures into everything we do, so if you’re in the need for a little self-love, this week is a great week to treat yourself.

Live Readings Now Available…

I am thrilled to be offering live dowsing rod readings again! I find they are a super easy and accessible way to connect with Spirit.

I have opened my books up for May and June. I love the energy of doing intuitive readings with the rods and the quick validations and responses for the sitter. Sessions are held via Zoom and you’ll receive a video recording afterwards.

Sharing energy in Spirit to help the sitter connect with their own inner knowing is truly a transformative experience. I also offer tips and suggestions for those looking to develop their own practice in working with dowsing rods. If this resonates with you book your session here and then you’ll receive a separate confirmation email to schedule.

I also offer written readings focused on dreams, oracle card draws, and more. I look forward to working with you on your journey in the way that feels most resonate for you!

Trust Your Creativity…

A lifelong connection to my intuition has always existed within my art. I remember learning the techniques of abstract art in 4th grade and how incredible it felt to follow my instincts and create amazing and totally unique works of art. Just like fingerprints, emotions, and memories, no two pieces of original abstract art are exactly alike. They are brief moments of expression, technique, and evidence of process – of contemplative – or not – connections to balance, composition, color, and texture.

While it might seem easy for some to lead with their creative intuition, it might not come as naturally for others. As we pursue intuitive growth we have to learn to trust in our creativity as well. To think intuitively is to think creatively, and a small shift in perspective can have a big impact on your larger life. From how we approach solving problems to developing new pathways towards efficiency, creative thinking is even dare I say, logical. Creativity isn’t just fun, it’s necessary for growth.

I challenge you this week to take 10 minutes to play creatively this week. 20-30 would be my preference but we’ll start small. Take 10 minutes a day to just create. I love to collage my astrology calendar each morning, adding colors, clippings or drawings that spark inspiration with my personal readings that morning. It’s fun, low-key, and helps start the day off with a momentum that generates organizational vibes and intuitive validations. So grab a sketchpad, a pack of crayons or markers, and have some creative time just for yourself as part of your intuitive practice.

Limestone…

Many people overlook Limestone as they step over their gravel driveways every day. However unassuming it may appear, Limestone is actually a very powerful mineral and a necessity to have in a your crystal collection.

Limestone is said to help ground and also provide stabilizing energy for stress relief, calm, and energy cleansing. It also considered a connector to ancestral wisdom, and is often referred to in the “stone tape theory” that natural elements in the environment can retain energetic impressions over time. Limestone’s persistence also makes it a a practical choice for some because of it’s resistance to erosion.

I live near a man-made lake that covers a large area of limestone estimated to be 40 million years old. We can still see some of the large bedrocks on the lake shore, and the nearby cement plant uses it in production. It’s so vast and intricately connected to the local ecological system through deep underwater caves and springs that even scientists from England came to study “Santee Limestone” in the 19th century. This historical marker (coincidentally or conveniently?) is located on the Eutaw Springs Battlefield and shares some of the history of the local limestone formations and it’s impact on the area.

I also mention the battlefield (again) not only because of my personal connection to it as an intuitive practitioner, but also it’s proximity to the limestone formations. Perhaps some of the soldiers and energies I have been able to connect locally with have been made stronger because of our closeness to a large amount of limestone? It’s certainly a theory worth considering.

Next time you’re out stone hunting or crystal shopping, don’t overlook the humble yet powerful energies of Limestone. It can help absorb and transmute negative energies in both people and spaces and help with root chakra alignment as well. It’s a perfect everyday stone to carry with you or to help cleanse your energies at the end of each day. Place limestone gravel in your driveway or walkway to help absorb and transmute any unwanted energies before you walk into your home.
