and more…

Hello There Intuitive Friends,

I hope you’re having a wonderful week! February continues to be a month of transformation as we work daily to bring healing and compassion to a world that so desperately needs it. As Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio aka Bad Bunny proudly proclaimed in front of the world at Superbowl 60 this past weekend, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

Even before his performance I got the feeling that this artist was also a healer, they way his music transforms and brings joy everywhere it is played. Seeing his halftime performance only confirmed that for me and it made my heart so happy to witness.

This moment of celebration, diversity, and representation was a huge manifestation of the love and joy that still resides within our current struggles. Despite the hardships and terror so many of us face right now, the culture has spoken, and so have the people. Are you listening?

Grief is Love Everlasting…

To me grief is love everlasting.

I grieve those I’ve lost,

and the love that never got to blossom,

but at the same time

I know that that love still exists somewhere,

and that brings me great comfort.

I grieve the love I never had

more than the loss.

It has brought me comfort

in knowing love is everlasting,

but love that was never there?

Truly heartbreaking.

Snowy White Owl…

I was thrilled to see the Snowy White Owl in a recent meditation journey to meet my animal guide for 2026. They are a majestic and powerful animal and a wonderful energy to channel during these tumultuous times.

The snowy white owl can mean many things for different cultures, however they always seem to represent a comforting energy of guidance even in difficult times. In some Indigenous cultures the snowy white owl represents an omen of death or loss in a form of guidance and reassurance and are not viewed as negative.

Have you ever seen a snowy white owl or worked with it’s energies? I am excited to see what transformative and intuitive energies are waiting ahead in 2026!

Recent Reads…

Tales of Edisto – A historical non-fiction book by Nell S. Graydon about the social and cultural history of Edisto Island, South Carolina originally published in 1955. It shares more than a dozen stories about local folklore surrounding the island from the colonial era to the mid 20th century.

Review: I found the book to be quite interesting as a South Carolinian who has spent many happy times at Edisto, from family beach vacations to our honeymoon. The personal connection to the stories was the most enthralling. I even had an intuitive moment when a American Revolutionary War soldier I have connected with in mediumship was briefly addressed unexpectedly!

It’s important to note that the book was originally published in 1955, so some of the terminology is severely outdated and no longer considered acceptable in our modern society. While the book itself is a beautifully written reflection of older times on the island from a particularly privileged perspective, it’s not as representative of the Indigenous and African American communities’ experiences. It has inspired me to continue researching the impacts of those less-represented communities on Edisto Island and their continued influence in the modern culture of the island today.

If you’re looking for a descriptive overview of the historic development of Edisto Island and it’s inhabitants, this is a great book to read. It gives detailed reflections of such a beautiful and mysterious island from over the years that make you feel like you’re back on Edisto yourself.

Next up: Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas
