Chronicles of a Dreamworker Series
I love my intuitive work with cards, and I’ve recently felt the call to learn more about tarot. I’ve brought out my deck, borrowed Tarot Made Easy by Kim Arnold from the bliss co-op library, and am going to study a card every day. I would also love to discuss these more with others, so I’ll share one card a week and we can chat about them here!
This week’s card is The Hierophant.
The Hierophant is the card of spirituality, religion and tradition. It represents a spiritual leader with two servants at their feet. The crossed keys represent the key to opportunity. The priest’s robe is red, depicting power and passion.
This card enters when a new path is unfolding before us. It can also indicate that we need to open up our minds to new ideas and opinions. It can also depict unrest on a personal level, and a building tension to get out and show the world just what you can really do.
This is a card of psychic awareness and possible questioning of religious traditions. This can appear when we are at a crossroads of spirituality in what we know and what we seek. It’s a good time to join a group with like-minded beliefs, or seek a spiritual mentor or teacher. Reversed this card can represent restrictions, judgements, and a loss of faith.
Overall the Hierophant represents the personal spiritual journey we must take of learning and knowledge. This is a card of wisdom and reminds us to listen to our guides and teachers, and to rely on our intuition to tell us what is right for us and what is not.
